prs Tremonti 10 top vs 2013 les paul standard

    I'm trying to decide which guitar to buy....any recommendations?

    Completely different feeling, playing and sounding guitars IMO. Your best bet is to play a few if possible. I personally like both PRS and Gibson. Either one will be a very nice guitar. The Tremonti will obviously be more of a hard rock/metal guitar out of the box even though the Standard can do those tones amazingly well also.

    Play as many of both (and more) until you find the one that sings to you when you play her.

    That being said, PRS quality will be top notch across the board. Gibson will be hit or miss.

    I have both, a 2011 tremonti and 2013 Standard. The PRS kills the LP in feeling and craftsmanship, but it does sound hotter, but then again I like hot pickups, the standard has more options in terms of sound, (with the coil taps etc) and its lighter, but again, I like my tradritional more than my standard, I'd say the tremonti is more like a traditional than a standard when comparing, so my vote goes to the Tremonti..
