Thanks for the heads up Brian. Unfortunately it's only a 60 min program. (60 min - commercials - jibber jabber = 30 min of playing) . Lots of stretching out....not!

Quite a lineup! Each one will have two minutes to display their artistic skills. Hopefully the full program will end up on youtube.

15 minutes of music before the first commercial....could be worse.

What was that funny sound Loueke made on his 4 bar solo? It looked like he was playing a Sadowsky SS15. I believe he also uses a Kemper.

Well it was pretty truncated. Network and all but there's much more on line.

It was strange but he's into that big time. I had the good fortune of an afternoon hang and jam with Lionel. He's an amazing player.

As usual, instrumental jazz took a firm backseat to all the vocalists. The unwashed masses must conform to the will of Landru......

The Miles-ish tune with Chick and John, etc... was fabulous!

Cool Brian. Will check it out. Thx
There is a great clip on YouTube of the Now He Sings Now He Sobs Chick trio playing very 'out' at White House in front the Reagans.
I played a cassette for Joe Pass (a blindfold test) of Jimmy Carter, the peanut farmer, singing Salt Peanuts w Dizzy at the White House. Blew Joe's mind.

Wow. I actually remember that! As I recall old Jimmy's phrasing needed some work.
