..... sounds like a fantastic fuzzbox w/probably fuzz-face roots (extruded to the unique trombetta perspective!) to me.

    Wot? Where?
Yes, but does it make you sound like Einstürzende Neubauten?

It's sounds rather Bosstone-ish/OS Mutantes-ish to me. I like it.

I got a 4-Plex a few weeks ago, not the Kaiju, hopefully there's an owner or two that can chime in. :)

    Hey guys,
I have a good friend PJ Newman.
He asked me to clone his 1965ish Sepulveda / Thomas Crybaby fuzz wah fuzz section to be
installed in a new Koll guitar build.

The 20 lb beast arrived and I immediately fell in love with it into a clean Fender.
The pedal had the old hex posts with NO solder. Just wrapped. Beautiful.
It also was buffered out and bled a shitload of DC.

The circuit is a an offshoot of the Vox dist booster / F. Face. Low output impedance. Internal gain trimmer
as it's gain structure is beyond touchy.
Not exactly as the schem on the web and you can see the small disparity from gutshots.

It's indisputable that the vintage correct parts make the sound with this one.

It was a pedal that was based off of the Vox Distortion Booster. Not very well known, built by Tracy Sands of Bad Cat fame I believe.

I am the lucky owner. Nice to see the 'neubauten' link noted. Always loved that figure.
I asked Paul if he would make me a one knob version of the mk1.8.....which was not possible but this was already in the works.
The pedal is spectacular, super super gnarly sound.
As Paul mentioned at the time of order it does not have a ton of volume (just abit more than unity) and it my rig has a very high noise floor when played a band volume. The volume issue is manageable and I am looking at a noise gate to try and tame some of the noise floor.....we play loud!
