    Purple!

I cannot recall a time when I had such high expectations for a pedal I'd never heard before.

This thing is even better than I expected!

And it matches my Suhr Modern:

I am a big fan of dirt pedals, and when I use them with a clean setup, I almost always turn the gain all the way up on all of them. This Riot is one of the first that I don't need to. It offers an incredible amount of gain, but unlike most dirt boxes, it sounds full and offers a full palate of tones and textures from about 9:00 on the gain dial to all the way up.

The "Voice" knob is actually audible and offers three different, useful textures. (I don't yet know what they are; I had to plug this one in right away and skip the manual.)

    And it's purple

If you don't mind incompleteness, slop, and an excessively long trail of silence, here is a clip: http://www.inrerocknroll.com/tunes/PurpleRiot.mp3

The clean tone you hear is what the Riot is running through, slightly below unity volume. And the "Dist" knob is never past about 1:00.

That is one hot looking pedal. I like the look just as much as the MXR CAE pedals, very nice indeed...

I got mine for $200 from Boutique Guitar Exchange in Atlanta.

The "amp" I used isn't really an amp at all; I used an Axe-FX direct into a sound card. I hope to put together a better clip over the weekend.

OK, so I just listened to the clip and where is the rest?

very nice tone. Is the lead tone achieved using the clean from the background and kicking the riot at full gain? Very nice and creamy...

I am starting to think this pedal would be perfect for leads as it sounds very full and thick.

Some of the best clippage I've heard from you to date! Great tone and playing. I love the Riot. I must own one someday. Try it at 18 volts...it really kills then.

Oh man... I bought a Riot over a month ago but the store "forgot" to inform me that the pedal was out of stock. Its very frustrating to read al the posts about how great the Riot is while I´m still waiting...
