Since I got 'Analog Man's Guide To Vintage Effects' I've been going crazy about older pedals... just found a 'red' Foxx Fuzz&Wah&Volume pedal in good condition. Q for Tom or anyone who knows...
What are the original descriptions for the functions of the 3 knobs left
from the input jack (left side) and the 4-way switch knob on the front end ?

    Thanks, Paul

    Like this?

I don't have mine in front of me but, from memory, the knobs are for vol. fuzz and tone, the big toggle on the left is a two-way octave on/off for the fuzz and the stomp switch is the fuzz on/off.

The knob on the front has tone prests, pretty subtle IIRC.

There is a regular wah-switch under the treadle that activates the wah and when all is bypassed the pedal works as a volume pedal.

The fuzz is almost identical to my original Foxx Tone Machine in tone, these pedals go for a lot less than an old Tone Machine, I picked this one up last year for less than $200, I've seen clean original Tone Machine's going for $500.

    It's a great pedal.

exactly !!! except for the fact that there's a bit of a 'rubber mat'
covering the upper half above the logo... Is yours in original condition ?
Does your front knob look the same as the ones on the left ?

thanks... this was really helpful !

I have it in front of me and have to admit that I was surprised
    how good it sounds...

    later, Paul

    Hi shigihara,

If you have the book, the answer is on Page 198, complete with pictures showing the original labels for the functions.

You might not have gotten to that part yet because the book is like a college text book (only far more interesting :D ). There's years worth of material in there to digest.

thx for bringing this to my attention...
yes, lots of material to digest and money to spend. :D
I've learned a lot already... and bought quite a few nice pedals
    since I got the book...

Totally stock afaik, the knob on the front matches the side knobs and there is a small stick-on metal plate that goes underneath with the preset names, mine has lost it's sticky alas.
