I also saw this today and found it interesting. I think there are things to be learned on both sides (police and the public).

As a Cherokee (IIRC) once said, "never criticize a man until you've walked a mile in his moccasin's."

Good for this guy to accept the perspective of the group that he is criticizing.

I have great respect for what a police officer has to deal with, and the risks that they take every time they interact with the public. There are bad apples in every profession, and the entire profession shouldn't be painted with their mistakes.

I find his website is a lot more informative than his Wikipedia page. He certainly is an interesting character:

Well said. Also, the guys on car talk said the reason you don't criticize someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes is because when you do criticize them, you are a mile away and they don't have any shoes on :)

Did you even watch the video? This has nothing to do with politics.

It's always good to be able to see things from the opposing perspective. It engenders empathy, something very sorely lacking in our society.

Exactly. Maybe this will be a start to less polarization when then next "situation" arises.

What a great show that was/is. Humor, and useful information at the same time.

I got to hand it to the guy, he was humbled and had no bones about admitting it.

Because then you're a mile away. And you have his moccasins.
