I always thought this was one of the cooler Queen songs.
What a fantastic track. One of my favorites too
I've always liked Dragon Attack as well.
There is a killer version of it on the Live in Montreal concert that I caught on Palladia a few months ago.
It was always one of my favorites, too!
Musically great, but the lyrics are awful. They read like 8th grade poetry.
my band actually messed with this for a while for kicks. i love it and coming soon and need your loving tonight and sail away sweet sister...
pretty much the whole album i guess!
I never heard this. Thanks!
This is one of my favorites....
A few days ago I put this song in the "Best Bass Lines," thread. Great tune.
one of my friends was a DJ way back and he said whenever the place got dull he'd put this on and people would wild out
Love the main riff! HEAVY without scooped, overly distorted guitars!
Freddie's vocals ooze attitude.
always loved that one!
Yeah, great tune! This song knocked my head off when I first heard it as a teenager just starting on playing.
The guitar tone and playing is incredible. Raw and ragged while at the same time totally on and in control.
It sounds like he turns on an Octavia of some sort at the very end of the last solo. I had no idea how he did that for many years, just thought he had some sort of magic false harmonic ability. Great stuff.
I've been chasing that dragon attack solo tone all my life.
Yeah,from The Game album.
Ehh, I've heard worse lyrics in most rock, and Queen was always very tongue-in-cheek -- paying homage to the rappers and funk artists at the time with the lyrics. The riff is definitely off the charts.
The Game is a pretty cool album, and holds some good memories for me.
I really like Queen, but hardly ever listen to The Game. I may have to check it out later today.
So Jaws was never your scene and you don't like Star Wars?
A LOT of people who like Queen don't understand the magic that happened in all the early CD's. Just incredible talent....songs....and writing. The live version of it really shows off them in their prime too.
