Question for all of those who play Carol Ann, Morgan, Dr. Z... Please help!

I dont want to sit here and overkill the cliche threads that have already been started asking which speakers go best with which heads, but for example I will have these 3 amps in my near future...

Carol Ann OD3r
Morgan Dual 40
Dr. Z Maz 38

I want to know from those who have had extensive experience getting really good recordings with similar amps such as these, based off of cabs that match up pretty damn good with amps in this realm.

I know the major players from reading around a bit which include but are not limited to Port City, Carol Ann, Morgan, Stone Age, Glaswerks, Kerry Wright, Matchless, Two Rock, and way too many others to list and realistically buy and try all of them!!!

So here is the basic format for my studio that I will be trying to achieve... I possibly want one of each of these cabs in my studio for versatility for the clean and slightly broken up tones but am thinking of getting a 4x10, 1x12, and 2x12 for now. These cab choices I am contemplating are between the following and can be either open back or closed.

1x12
2x12
4x12
1x10
4x10

All of these cabs can be either open back or closed as long as they produce the goods!!!

Can you guys give me some of your opinions here based off of real experience with similar styles of amps please? Any help would be much appreciated!!!

I own a carol Ann Od2r and i use it with a bob burt 1x12 EV12L. Ev12L is THE speaker for carol Ann in my opinion.. they have a very stout voicing, and other speakers just can't handle the amp's power and voice.

I used to own a Dr. Z RxJr with a Z 4x10.. i really miss that setup.. it was one of the best clean tone and edge of clean tone amp setups ive ever heard..
The Z 4x10 is amazing. i really want another one sometime for an EL84 type amp down the road..

I missed out on a Z best 2x12 for $450 shipped... I kick myself in the ass everyday for that!

I would love to try out one though, and especially the 4x10 your speaking of. What speakers do they put in that cab?

They're dr. Z's own branded 10" speakers.. I think eminence supplies the materials.. Not 100% on that though..
They're great speakers. 70 watts each. Very clean and tight sounding
