Ive got a zvex fuzz factory that with my 'vintage' amp comes across as shrill and fizzy. I have a fulltone OCD (v2) that I use as a boost (usually clean). Ive read that with long cables and/or a long pedal chain, a lot of the highs get lost; also that using a buffer between the pedal and amp can help round out the sound by bringing the levels back; jack white invariably uses his digi-t wammy at the end of his pedal chain because of its natural compression on the output (paraphrasing that, not mine) helps get that tone from his big muff. It, generally, makes more sense to put a boost pedal before a distortion or fuzz pedal, but would putting it between the amp and pedal help with negating some of this fizz? Im out of town or else id just try it and find out.
