Questions about a G0

I have a G0 Les Paul that I love! I was just curious about how these guitars are classified. Historic, VOS, Custom? I know they were made for Guitar Center, but beyond that I'm not sure of their history. Anybody know the story?

I'm certainly no expert as I've just very recently begun looking into them. But from what I understand they are not considered "Historics." They are considered custom 1960s reissues. In reality, they are plaintop historics with some minor tweaks in the electronics department.

Now for some folks who really know the details..

I think that they are considered Historics. They have an "R0" stamped inside the cavity. Built by the same people, just modeled after a specific '50 LP that Guitar Center owns. The ones built before 2007 didn't have the BB caps and the sound was less "vintage" IMO, but the one built after that have the vintage wiring w/BBs.

They are fantastic guitars BTW. The neck on mine is pretty chunky, not that much slimmer than the neck on my R9. The R0 and G0 have more tangerine in the burst which is not my favorite, but the guitar is very, very nice.

Not sure how it is classified. I hVe heard most call it a special run historic.

I have one, and it is fantastic.

I had one and I loved it. I wish I never sold it, but I needed the funds. I feel they are a special run historic.
