Just picked one up.....Very interesting little amp. Very Toney!

This one is loaded with a Weber 12a125a 8ohms. I noticed a second speaker jack on the bottom of the chassis. Wondering if I could run two 16ohm loads to get back to 8ohms safely? I've searched around a bit but can't find any info.

Also the ground switch works differently than I'd expect. It's a two position switch but no sound when flipped in one of the positions. Is that position supposed to be standby?

Cool amp! neat experience....

Thanks,

Nick

"Wondering if I could run two 16ohm loads to get back to 8ohms safely?"

Yes.

"Is that position supposed to be standby?"

Yes,he didn't want to change the vintage look.

I run a Weber Blue Dog,15w,with a HUGE ceramic magnet (80 oz.w/neo helper) in mine and a 5v4 rectumfrier.

Nice.

I also have his attenuator built in.

I was thinking about using mine with a bigger cab, but found that it seemed to prefer a single 12. The transformer didn't seem up to the task of driving bigger cabs/ more speakers, but then maybe I mismatched the ohms. (doh!)

It's surprisingly loud with a single (and efficient) 12, though. Be interested to know what you find in speaker swapping...
