It's been raining a ton here in Denver over the last two weeks. I was in the car, in heavy rain, for an hour the other day and had a really enjoyable drive listening to:

    Beck - Sea Change

This collection of songs might be close to perfection for a rainy drive through the mountains.

List some other great rainy day releases.

I don't know who the Jayhawks are. Sorry to disappoint.

You're into Beck's acoustic stuff but haven't heard of the Jayhawks? That's like liking Elvis Costello and not knowing who Joe Jackson is. Beck is great- the Jayhawks are great. In some way my guess is that the Jayhawks either directly or indirectly heavily influenced Becks alt. country stuff.

I should clarify. I've heard of the Jayhawks, but I don't know their music.
