I love it!!

I really like that she has real chops and she didn't just master the drum part to a song. I played with a drummer that had Message in a Bottle totally dialed but could barely play a regular beat with any consistency.

Maybe I am easily impressed -- though I consider myself critical and discerning -- but I am impressed by many talented artists on youtube, including Senri and X and Y and on and on and on . . .

Bloody great. Reminds me of some mid 70's Phil Collins!
I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums.

But really, that kid is incredible.

That's Senri Kawaguch. She's 17 yo now, been on YouTube for 4 years.
Her dad is a drummer & teacher.

Here's a recent vid, playing "Foxey Lady" at a festival in France.

The "nerd" character is a tribute to a Japanese cartoon.
When she first got in YouTube she made a number of videos that were tributes
to Japabese anime, and it worked because she got a lot of attention right away.
