Rarish Emerald Green Les Paul Studio

I've sold and traded plenty of pedals on Craigslist but only a guitar or two.
Anyway, this is not a want ad because I've read too many horror stories about selling guitars through the mail and have decided to keep it local.(thanks for the heads up citizens of TGP) So I won't be putting it up in the emporium.

So, I have a 2001 emerald green Les Paul Studio. Which is used but not abused. Some small nicks, a little buckle rash. The color is rare and it has chrome hardware instead the usual gold found on this year's model.
There's more info on this particular guitar at the Gibson Forum here plus it has way better pictures than mine showing the beautiful finish.

The guitar was professionally set up by the guy I traded it to (a Guild electric acoustic). He worked at a local instrument shop with a great rep. Needless to say it has great action and tone. Too bad, I've learned I am a Strat and Tele guy.

When selling on CL, I tend to price things as fairly as possible on the lower end and emphasize firm on price if that makes sense. Saves time by taking away the power from hagglers and tire kickers.

Anyway, is $650 a fair price, can anyone give me details as to why or why not. Thanks for taking the time to read this, I've done the research on pricing but I've seen this model go used for as high as $1000, which is too much and I've seen similar go for $700 and up but not with this color and hardware. Thanks in advance.

Actual (not very good) pic of my guitar.

$650 seems kind of low, unless you are going for a quick sale.

I'd price it a couple of bucks more....if only for the inevitable lowballers.

If I was looking for a LPS, I'd totally jump at that because of the green...love it!

Do my eyes deceive me, or are those trapezoid inlays smaller than those on a Standard? They look slightly smaller, and I thought Studios had the same inlays as a Standard does.

$650 seems about right for studios in PDX

its funny, I saw this thread title and immediately thought of a guitar I saw on my local CL, only to find out it was the same guitar... small world

Love the green!

My local shop has had a copper colored Studio for a while now. It started at $850 and went down to $750 after about a month and a half to two months. Last time I saw it (about 2 weeks ago) it was down to $700. Nice playing guitar. I guess copper just isn't a big seller.

I'd price it a bit higher, but let the seller haggle you down a bit. Always build in some wiggle room to your listed price imo.

Awesome! I just sold my Emerald Green 2001 Studio to CME.. It's was leftover finish from the GEM series that were ordered by dealers in small runs, most went to Mars Music
