I have an ac30 with a peaker. It has a 120p cap and a 220k resistor. This make a corner freq of 6,000hz and if I add a 220p cap it will bring the freq down to 3,200hz. I follow this but I can't find what this does to the actual sound of the amp.
If I add a higher cap, that usually allows more highs but in an rc circuit I think it acts as a hi/low pass filter. So what is happening at this freq corner? Does it affect above and below or just above? I am looking at this online but can't make sense of it.
