    ...well for me at least.
Saul made “Wedge” T guitar that was originally sold thru DAG few years ago. I came close to buying it two times but I wasn’t lucky or fast enough to snatch it.

Saul and I agreed to make another one with little twists to my liking and it’s in a paint booth as we speak. I wend for resonant lightweight guitar with “piano” sound clarity and broken in feel.
After numerous emails and conversations with Saul here are some pictures and specs:
Over 60 year old lightweight alder body, carved and slanted (a 21st Century T style guitar envisioned by Saul)
    Tummy contour

Flamed maple neck, soft V shape with Brazilian rosewood fretboard.
    Nut width 1 5/8”

Don Mare Donocaster pickups, reverse angle on bridge pickup. Four way switching (fourth position is push-pull on tone knob). Treble bleed mode.
Glendale bridge plate and compensated saddles.

Color scheme is very interesting. We went for beautiful metallic green color based on a David Thorn “Green Lantern” D’Pergo.
Needles to say, I am extremely excited and grateful to Saul.
    HE IS DA MAN!!!! :bow
    More to come .....

Saul Koll is both an artist and a gentleman. Each time I have dealt with him has been a pleasure.

Yeah, I missed that same guitar myself. When you get this one, Jaya my friend, you will be glad that you missed the other one!

    Congrats!

    Peace.

can't wait to see this one.

Still missing the Koll "T" that I had the privilege of owning for a couple of years.

    looks fantastic, jaya!
i, too, have a new & quite different build started by saul,
    about which i'm super-excited!

    fwiw, though:
    my surname is actually
TORN (like, Rip Torn), not THORN (like, Pete THORN).

As the owner of the Koll Tele that inspired this build, I feel uniquely qualified to say that you are in for a real treat. Congrats to you Jaya for taking the bull by the horns and having Saul make one just for you. I still own that Koll Wedge Tele. Not sure why I ever thought of parting with it but luckily I came to my senses. Glad to know mine will have a sibling. Keep us posted as she progresses.

Thank you all for kind words!

Irreverent, I think you're right. Thank you my friend, I'll keep you posted.

    Splatt,
    Thank you!
I can't even imagine what you guys would call "quite different build " after "ice cream cone shaped Tornipulator". :aok
I apologize for misspelling your last name, I should know better, I am big fan of your work but English being my second language I still sometimes make these silly mistakes. :Spank

    Jazztone,
Thank you for pushing me over the edge. I am very excited to strum this beauty.

Never really been a tele guy, either, but she looks really sweet, great wood! Congratulations! Looking forward to the review(this could change me...?).

Great guitar, what a Kool Koll vision, look forward for your review, I'm excited for this build.
What is the thought on the reverse bridge pickup?

    Thank you Gary.
Reason for reverse angle bridge pickup is tighter low end response and no shrill highs on treble side.

Awesome...! I saw that guitar on Saul's Facebook page. Can't wait to see the finished guitar too.

BTW, if you focus really hard behind the 3 stacked bodies you'll see the body and neck for my *TELE style* too... rawk! (see "DAVIS" in Sharpie)

Also, can't wait to see what Saul and Splatt come up with... (I have a little guess though...).

In the paint booth shot with your beautiful neck the is another twisty Tele behind it. It's my project from Saul:

Awesome! Is it the slightly twisted Tornado with some "bird" in the motif?

    Korina Tele? rawk!

Not to hijack Jaya's thread, but apparently we should just put all our Koll T builds in here?
