Sounded fantastic and I am not a dumble guy.
Did you get to play it?
which # was it? Any idea what circuit? CLIPS?!?!?!?!
I just went back to ask the guy to play it. Figured I would never get another chance but he had a interview right then and it wasn't possible. He said its #94 and was built in 1983.
Nice. What booth was it at?
Man. For a second I could only see part of the thread title ("Real Dumble at NAMM. Sounded...") and I was about to laugh so hard thinking it ended with "...like crap!"
Did you get any pictures of the crystal lattice?
Gee, only took 8 posts for the Crystal Lattice jokes to pop up.
Wow, less than an hr and a half and 1200 views on this thread!
Being played by Jimi Hendrix?
That's one of the better sounding Dumbles right there!
I saw that one as well.
More interested in the Marshall.
It was a 69 100 watt plexi and get ready for this..........................$18,000
with two matching cabs.
I'd take the 69 Marshall everyday of the week over the dumble.
I'm a pretty big fan of Dumble-style amps, but I'm not overly impressed with the sound of that one. Perhaps it would sound really good in person(?).
That guy kind of looks like Hendrix
What booth was that?
Sounded like an amp to me. Not bad, nothing out of this world though.
This worth 5 figures?!!! It's very nice, but is it THAT nice? I suppose its subjective. They're worth what people are prepared to pay for, but I wonder if they've become the victim of their own hype where they can never match expectations?
