Really, a stud mount trem that works ,sounds good and stays in tune.
No, it's a hoax.
This is what I've been waiting for.
I love a Floyd Rose on a guitar BUT I'm tired of buying Floyd Rose trems with a guitar attached that I don't care for.
I will finally be able to start off with a guitar that I like and put a Floyd on it.
I plan on putting one on my Les Paul Jr Special.
I wouldn't do that to one of my SGs, but that's still a pretty cool design.
Seriously? This post...
Yeah, this is definitely not for the timid.
IDK, I thought this one looked a little better. Never actually saw one in the wild.
I'd never use this, but it is a pretty elegant solution to a design problem. Kudos to them.
Yikes. Reminded me of the Wonderbar. So you still have to put a lock nut on, and that's pretty invasive.
It's a shame it's so damn ugly looking. The functionality looks great but the Battlestar Gallactica part on the rear is what would keep me from putting one on my SG.
I don't find it any more ugly than a bigsby, I'd try one if the pricing was a little better.
I find if hard to accept criticism for the look of this and not the bigsby. At least this works.
Very interesting observation. Lots of Floyd dislike and Bigsby love. I have a few guitars with Bigsbys and probably won't order any more. I'm always messing with tuning them. My Floyd guitars can stay in tune forever.
I did not make it through the entire video, but maybe without the locking nut, adding locking tuner will do the same job. Hell...with Mini-Tune, locking tuners and the FRX... you have a new breed LP!
Just a thought.
Looks like a Floyd'ed Stetsbar basically. Cool concept and option for players who like FR's. I'm not really into them personally, but to each their own.
I assume you didn't watch the video. It's not invasive at all. Two wood screws and the locking nut rests behind the factory nut. No other modifications required.
