I really don't need one!
What type of pedal what budget?
Neither do I, but I already have two new ones that I'm going to finally dig into today (Danelectro Pride of Texas and a Boss FBM-1 '59 Bassman). Craving an EarthQuaker Plumes, but I think I'm good and set for some self-isolation.
I don't have a budget per se. I'm a sucker for a good deal though. If I see a pedal I've been curious about for a reasonable price I'll grab it probably. Prices seem high now to me.
Maybe a Black Muck, a 1981 Inventions, Sick As, Jam Rattler +, DD-200, DD-8, MD-500, Meet Maude..... Jam Whacko I could go on and on....
I am in the same boat. I have been holding off on buying a Thermae since the social distancing measures started. Seems like a good pedal to get lost in hours of experimentation...
I had my eye on a few pedals but I ended up buying a tele instead
Anything but a Corona Chorus.
Used boss, MXR, and EHX dirt pedals can be found for well under $50 on reverb and some of them are seriously great. It’s not a bad route to go if your just jonesing to mess around with something new but don’t want to spend a lot
My reverb store is open and I assure you it is as socially distant as ever
Buy a cheap but good clone to mess with, thats what I do when I just want to try something new I don’t need at all and don’t want to compromise on quality. I’ve been happy with purchases from all these guys.
sold a 1981 DRV yesterday I got for $60.
Enternity (burst) $50
Dual MXR Dist+ $69
Get some cheap Chinese ones from eBay- Mosky, Rowin, etc. make great cheap clones for $25 shipped.
Go on Amazon, search for 'guitar pedal' and sort 'low to high price' and have some fun.
I have the Fuzz 303 and it's a good pedal and it's only $20 new
The Joyo brand is Behringer's too from what I recall. I have the Joyo American Sound and it's a great pedal and it's only $30 new
You’re talking to a guy who just ordered a Fuzztration because I always wanted to try an octave fuzz. Cabin fever is a thing, folks.
If you're anything like me, then a Subdecay Prometheus DLX will keep you scratching your head, or beating that same head against a wall - for days and days. Educational, too: teaches the meaning of the word "obtuse"!
A WMD “Geiger Counter” is a bottomless pit of signal butchery fun.
Pigtronix Infinity 2
Eh, I just bought an amp, so count yourself frugal.
