So ever since owning a Gibson LP and a few Epi LPs, I've grown accustomed to taking out the humbuckers and checking out what went into making the top. For your consideration I present the AGS73t. Maybe disclosing how many pieces make up the top should be a requirement?

The last pic is me trying to capture a good representation of the free plastic case the wood comes in.

Well, with the free plastic case & variations in woods.... do you like it?

Not sure what you are showing. Are the laminations separating?

With that many layers, I'd be upset if it ever has issues with feedback lol. Can't really see the plastic case in those pics though, are you more of a satin finish guy?

Yes. I like it. It sustains very nicely. It has a plastic nut which needs to be changed. I plan to upgrade the pots and wiring done 50s style and caps to PIOs. Pickups will be upgraded as I do not like the effect ceramic magnets have on the sound.

I've never experienced anything like the thick plastic case this one has. Looking at the sides it is clearly apparent.

Usually the finishes have been light coats, but nothing like this. I had a Gibby LP Studio with satin finish I liked.

...the problem comes when you look at the sides. I was looking at the bass side of the neck joint and there is some extra poly built up there.

I was mainly posting the pics as a public service for people if they are considering buying an AGS73t. Know what's underneath...make an informed decision.

    Not sure about the laminations.
