Recomend me a builder for an "ibanez-like" custom project

I'm a huge fan of the 80's and specially Ibanez guitars... I've owned virtually all the top of the line models of Ibanez guitars but I never found one that actually delivered in the Tone Department... so I've opted to Tom Anderson, Jackson and Suhr guitars instead, but always wanted the looks of those iconic ibanez rg and jems of the 80's-90's.

So I'm considering "a built to order Ibanez-like guitar", but don't know who to call for the project.

What I want is basically a neck-though version of an RG505, w/ some personal touches like flatter fingerboard radius, 6105 size ss frets, thicker than wizzard neck, repositioned H/S pickup layout and reverse headstock.

Who would you recomend me for the project?

Thanks!

Have you seen the JEM that Stephen Casper is building me? It surpasses what Vai plays and at less cost than what a JEM Universe would run you. Look for the thread: Casper Guitar Technologies (Project 3)... or something like that.

Head on over to JEMsite.com and see what folks there say, they know their ibanez stuff pretty well.

Thanks for the advices!!! I'm currently examining those builder's website and making up my mind on the exact features. Than, I'll contact them and see wich one can offer me the best combination of service, quality and price.

Regarding the Suhr... It's a little too expensive for a "replica". Ok, not a replica in the true sense, but clearly an attempt.. Wich looks a little odd to me (an expensive "odd", shall I say..).

Thanks guys!!!!!!!!

Oh, I hear ya. I've had a lot of Ibbyz (77BFP, PGM20th, RGT3120, etc., etc.,) and the Suhr certainly does not totally grasp that look and feel. But the Suhrs just feel and sound so much better (I know, personal pref)!
