    Can anyone recommend a 2x12 cab? I would put Celestion greenbacks in it. I might use a Marshall amp (type amp) and other amps as well.

    Avatar Traditional G212H Premier. I have two of them. They are great cabs.

    I second the Avatar Traditional cabs. I had a closed back Traditional with WGS Green Berets in it that sounded good.

    I third it.
    My Avatar Traditional 2x12 with V30s has been great to me.

    I use Greenbacks in my Marshall 2061cx cab. It's what they should have put in there in the first place. Similar cabs are available from Mojotone and Stagecraft.

    If you can't find a clean used /13, Bad Cat, Matchless or Bogner,
    then I'd go for a Reeves 2X12 or a Port City.

    A traditional Marshall shallow 2X12 can sound kinda thin.

    If you can find one, the Jenkins 2x12 sure works for greenbacks. Mine are Emi Legend GBs, but close enough. They sound very good in this cab.

    I like the Dr Z cabs because they are solid Birch. I tried the cheeper press board ones out there and wasn't very happy with them. Whichever you decide on make sure it is of solid wood construction. A great amp and great speakers can sound bad through a cabinet that rattles and vibrates. Spend the extra bucks.

    Bogner OS 2x12 was the very best 2x12 cab I've ever had the pleasure of owning. I had V30s and Greenbacks in it and it sounded excellent.

    Mesa Recto 2x12 cab comes in next and it is what I currently own. I have a pair of Scumback M75s (old school greenback clones) in it and I love how it sounds.

    The Avatar traditional cab I owned didn't really do much for me. Actually, I ended up sending it back for a refund because its back panel was vibrating at certain frequencies.

    Germino and Jenkins Highway 61 sound great with Greenbacks. Port City standard is very dependent on where you're standing. I find the port creates hot spots. But, nothing sounds as good loaded with Greenbacks as a good vintage style Marshall 4x12!!!

    There's only two options:

    Affordable -> Avatar
    The Best -> StoneAge

    If you're not gonna buy a StoneAge, just get an Avatar.

    I love, love, love the sound of Greenbows, wired parallel in an Orange 2x12, and you would too!

    Of course, Orange only offers V30's in their fine cabs, but here's a company that does an excellent repro, and with a pair Wharehouse Beret's, cheap! If you have Celestions or Scummies ready to go, they're still a deal empty! http://www.sonsetbeach.com/sonsetbeach_custom.html

    I had an opposite experience. Sent the Mesa Recto packing after having the fuller sounding Avatar. I did have some vibrations with the Avatar. Reseated the back panel and now it's solid as a rock with no buzzes to be had, at really loud volumes. That's the traditional style cab I now own. I never had an issue with the vintage style Avatar cab I owned.

    Bogner is a great 2x12, and what I would own if it fit in my trunk.
