    Hey all!

I'm finally moving into my first house in the next few weeks, and I'm taking over a portion of the basement for my "Amp Room" and tech bench. I'll finally be able to finish off a bunch of projects I've not had time/room for, and start some I've been meaning to get into!

I'd like to build myself a 5E3, and I hear a lot about some great kits out there...but I'd like to do it on a tight budget. I should be putting money into the house, and not as much into a kit amp.

What 5E3 will give me the most bang for your buck? I'm fine with a chassis only kit solution as I could make my own cab/head if I really needed to...I just really want to add some tweed to my pallet of tones!

    Suggestions?

I would, and did, go with the Mission Amps kit. All top notch parts. Gives you all the info you need to build. His service is great and he is a great guy to go to with questions during the build.

IMHO Mission is the way to go. Quality parts and a great cab. The cab really makes a diff in my opinion.

Bruce Collins is A #1 when it comes to help and support.

My 5E3 that I built is a Mission. No regrets.

I've built two Mission 5E3s and also one of his 5F4s. Excellent parts quality and as important, excellent support afterwards.

Mission Looks good I almost pulled the trigger with them. I went with Allen Amplification instead because of the support and documentation.

Mission offers a lot of add-ons what sealed the deal for me was The Variety of Fender Flavours from Allen. This Month David is selling the Brown Sugar Complete with full Email support Cab And Speaker $899.

If I took all the Mission upgrades I was looking at $550 for the chassis. Davids Tranny upgade is $25 for a Heybour
