It's been so many years since I saw that movie I had forgotten completely about it.
    Good call!

Anyone into obscure strange movies, try to find Greaser's Palace, 1972, by Robert Downey Sr.

A great modern Chicago gangster film, directed by Saul Rubinek. (Or Sal Rubberneck in Jerky Boys talk)

Just looked up Jerry and Tom. Don't know how I missed it. Some of my favorite actors. I'll have to try to find it.

Saw Bone Tomahawk recently. One of my favorite movies of the last several years. Reactions to it are pretty mixed, but I loved it and what most of the detractors complained about (dialog, PC ********) I enjoyed or didn't mind. Came out the same year as The Revenant and it's 1000x better imo - got zero attention, I guess because of some gore.

    Can a doc be a sleeper? I have 2:

    Grizzly Man
Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills

Both a bit rough. Grizzly Man inadvertently funny at times.

Good movie. One of the keepers.

Maybe one of you folks can help me out a bit, though. When I got the DVD and watched it for the first time since seeing the original release, I was a bit stunned at the first sight of the jets. I thought “WTF is that all about??”, but then I recalled that near the movie's end, I think it was Danny who said something to Marina along the lines of "the bombing making the ground unstable for oil exploration or drilling, but they were still going to build the scope". Anyway the line was not in the DVD release, and nobody I know who has seen the movie can recall it. They all comment that the jets were meant to be an opposite view compared to the peaceful town. I think that's crap.

Am I nuts, or do any of you remember that line? It sort of explained the jets and tied it together.

I also thought that Marina had a very distinct mermaid tail on her last dive, but that's a different question.
