Any thoughts on some of the best tubes for the Fender Super Sonic??

And how might that change the stock tone?

    Thanks

Mine sounds killer with the Fender stock tubes.

I'd like to maybe try mine through a 2 x 10 cab though. THAT would be sweet.

Well, I'm experiencing hiss and I've read that it's common with stock GT tubes, so??

Just to bump this up, cause I will be curious about it... I don't have any real hiss. I have some hum and noise when I use the burn channel, but to be honest, not as much as other gain channels on amps I've used.

There's not a lot of guys using this amp around here I don't think, based on the tepid response to a couple posts by me on it, so you might have to just experiment. Fortunately, you probably want to start with the cheaper preamp tubes anyway.

Other than the hiss, how do you like it?

Fender tubes are probably Groove Tubes, which means they could be any number of tubes.. JJs are a common favorite, as are winged SEDs. Try one of those if you feel like it. Just don't forget to rebias.. Unless you are talking about switching out the preamp tubes, in which case I was say go for JJs again, or NOS jan/phillips, or some new production mullards.

How do I like it? It sounds great, but I am having a tube problem
v5 hada hiss and I changed it with a JJ 12AX7, the hiss was gone
    and the volume increased greatly.

Throughout this the amp always sounded great, and different

all RCAs except for a Mullard 12at7 in the phase inverter (last slot before power tubes) and Svetlana power tubes.
