After something to give me a synthy guitar sound. I've got plenty of Tonebenders, muffs and fuzz faces, so got those basses covered. I was thinking of something along the lines of the EQD Terminal fuzz or maybe an unpleasant surprise. Any ideas?
    Cheers...

kinda crazy but Tim at fuzzfaceless used to make, and likely would on request, a combination mk1 and autowah. I thought it was weird, but without question, if you are a musician you will get far out synthy tones and make wild stuff happen. Dials to tweak.

If you didn't want an mk1 perhas he'd stick another fuzz in there.

    Just brainstorming.

When I read the title of this thread I screamed out loud "ZVex Fuzz Factory" and then was kicked in the nertz by a work chum.

Sounding like a synth is a pretty large territory. That said, these make me think synth sometimes:
    Trombette Bone series
    Diablo HEQ-1
    Spaceman Spacerocket
Basic Audio Bye-Bias Ge (or Si, for that matter)
    Basic Audio Spooky Tooth

I recommend a Shin-Ei FY-2 clone. Really gnarly, fat fuzz tone. Sustain for days. I can get some really interesting fuzzy synth type tones. I put a Wah behind it and I can’t stop playing.

Check out a TWA Dynamorph or its new, smaller cousin, the Minimorph.

Seymour Duncan Fooz IS a fuzz based synth pedal.

" The Seymour Duncan Fooz is the latest entry into this growing category, offering a brilliant combination of fuzz, filter/envelope follower and LFO (low-frequency oscillation) effects that generate an impressive variety of analog synthesizer tones in addition to classic fuzz and envelope follower effects"

EQD Bit Commander is synthy and fuzzy, though not exactly a fuzz

Any fuzz + whammy can take you there. Add Flanger/chorus for extra fun.

You could just jump into PLL territory.

Otherwise, fuzzes with an octave help give a synth effect. Look into Tone Machine or Super Fuzz style options.

Came in to recommend exactly this one. Seriously, this is what you need.

It’s got some “normal” fuzz settings in there, too. Way more versatile than I’d have expected going in.

The FOOZ is a gnarly synth-thru-fuzz pedal, and very fun.

The ingredients to make a fuzzy synth or synthy fuzz sound are: fuzz (pretty much any, but particularly gated fuzz) or bit crusher + octave down + envelope filter and/or modulation.

Different sounding fuzzes will yield different synth flavors. I've use a Big Muff, Demon Lung (FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz clone), DOD Carcosa, and even a Boss HM-2 so far with the aforementioned effects to get some great faux synth tones.

A nice octave fuzz would fit the bill.

Really. Ive got a De Sade fuzz from Tim which is great. I was thinking of getting a octave pedal with that and using my wah for sweeps?
