Recommend me a high gain head with FX Loop and a great clean channel.

Ok, I'm looking around for another head to give me a flavour different to what I already have.
    (Currently running a '78 JMP 2203 head and 4x12, a '97 Orange OTR and 4x12 and a '94 UK Vox AC30 TB/X).

I'm thinking something in the vein of an American high gainer - similar to a SLO, Dual Rec, 5150 style sound.
However, this thing needs to have an FX Loop, and a kickin' clean channel along the lines of a Fender Twin, as well as a great dirt sound.
Are these 3 still the classics, or is there a new (or newish) kid on the block I should check out?
    Cheers!

Orange TH30 is one of the best high gainer + great clean dual channel amps I've had my hands on.

Yes it's an evolution. The Custom
Audio might be a better choice due to price and voicing.

Well, the best I've ever plugged into for my needs is the Glaswerks SOD II. Does everything you specified (and much more) but is a Dumble style offered in several flavors and with several options within each flavor. It is quite different from what you currently own!

    How many watts?

Meas Mk V or JP are good as they can do everything even the brootz and have the wattage adjustments...plus there is the 25w Mesa Mk V too if you want a portable tiddler...though I'd have thought it was really 15w with the two EL84's in it...

If it's big iron that you want, there are a lot of boutique amps out there but they'll all be super expensive in Aus...probably eye wateringly priced with shipping. The Steve Stevens Friedman amp would be a great modded Marshall with awesome cleans and transparent FX loop plus you can get Friedman's from Deluxe so there is at least a warranty to fall back on without swallowing insane shipping costs back to the states etc.

Not many full on high gain amps have killer clean channels or if they do, they are simply not affordable...5150 etc have awful cleans IMHO. Dual Rectos are certainly ok but are very loud amps before they deliver the goods.

Orange TH30...stay away unless you like the fizzzzz...

I would honestly say Mark V. Im a Bogner XTC 101b owner and the drive channels are incredible of course but the cleans on the Mark V are so awesome.

A friend has a Engl Retro 100 that is really good, and reasonably priced here in Australia for a boutique.
It was as good as the Landry I owned and it was nearly 2k cheaper.

I listened to your tracks. Look into the custom audio. Three channel head. Has the sounds on tap you might really like.
