Currently using either a Trademark60 or Peavey Classic 30

Recently played a friends CARR Rambler

Had to play @ bedroom levels, so couldn't put it through its paces.

Loved the trem on the amp, and the nice warm tube sound, so out with the Trademark - transistor

Peavey is ok, but from what I heard of the Cleans on the Carr - wow

So is the Carr really good for cleans and then distortion from a pedal??

What other amps in this price range??

    dangerous question. You should worry.

Ramblers are very nice. If looking for mix of dirt and clean, you might want to take a look at a Bogner Shiva.

Try as Fuch's ODS 30-50 however much power you require.

2k budget gives almost infinite choices...

Personally, with that budget, looking for a clean amp, I'd get a blackface Bandmaster head, and a cab with JBL's. Then I'd spend the rest of the money on beer.

Tons of great options at that price, especially on the used market. Best to get some time on as many as possible, at stage volume.

If I had two grand to drop on an amp right now, my first looks would be at:

    Tone King Imperial
    Dr Z Maz 38
    Nolatone Tango
    Morgan AC20 Deluxe

I'd definitely go for one of the new Fuchs Casino Series amps. They're killer amps, and all of them are under your budget. The Blackjack 21 Mk II and Full House 50w would be great options. Two channels, great clean sounds, wonderful OD channel, reverb, fx loop.

Buy my Silver/Eggshell Divided By 13 EDT 13/29 combo so I can buy an EDT 13/29 head and save my back! :)
