I'm looking to record some guitar (amp mic'd), vocals and acoustic so I was thinking a condenser and probably SM57 (??). I've got a 2009 MacBook Pro and about a $1000 budget (less if possible).

    What should I get???

Is your budget $1000 just for mics or do you need software, interface etc?

sm57 for amps akg perception 420 for vocals and an M-audio fast track 2 for interface if you are only recording one track at a time. you can hear that setup on some of the tracks on the soundcloud in my sig.
