1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We've added some "new" guys to the moderator crew. Recording in a church/large hall

    Was thinkin about this today...my dad was asking me about recording a choir...which i may have tuned out as i drifted into...recording a band in a big hall like that...

    If you live tracked it...youd want the guitars separated from everyone...but how would you mic the drums? Would you glyn johns...or...mic kick snare and room...

    If just tracking the drums only...what would you do...im thinking GJ and mic the room...mix to taste...i bet you could get some great sounds out of even a crappy room that way

    Thoughts?
