was just listening to clips of the BE Crystal Dagger and LOVE fuzz/octave up side, but don't think I would find much use for the phaser/ring mod side. So, what can you recommend for that octave up/fuzz sound with good tone stack?

    Thanks,

I have a FoxRox Octron and it gets nasty Octave up sounds. Plus it has Octave down to boot.

If you're set on an octave fuzz though, the Octafuzz' octave sounds nasty in a good way.

The CBread Octapuzzy sounds killer from the couple NAMM vids I heard.
I might check that out how when it is released (March or something, IIRC).

I like the Fulltone stuff a lot. Check out the Octafuzz for Octavia tones (think Jimi) and check out the Ultimate Octave for Foxx Tone Machine style octave fuzz (think qotsa). Both are great, but very different. Both have really fat regular fuzz too. The UO has a tone knob, which is just a treble roll off, but I think thats the only type of 'tone stack' you might find on an octave fuzz. FWIW, I prefer the UO, but I love all octave pedals really. The FoxRox Octron is amazing too, its what I currently use on my main board.

I haven't heard about that new Catalinbread pedal, I'll have to check it out!

I liked the Devi Ever Vintage Fuzz Master. Cheap, scrambly, LOUD, and highly usable sound. Rather prominent octave up too.

Prescription Experience does octave up, swell, normal fuzz, and mine is a fetching shade of purple. What more could someone ask for in a pedal?!

I wonder if Blackout will release the fuzz side by it self?
