Yes I had Kinmans there. These are Lollar Specials, so they're a bit darker. They have a stronger lower midrange whilst the Kinman are more on the upper midrange. The Lollars appear to be stronger and somewhat more complex sounds. The Lollars hum, Kinmans don't.

    thanks.

Very nice tone! (and playing.) My vote is for the Lollars as well. -upper-mids are where it's at!

For the longest time I assumed you over the Golden Gate bridge from me from your screen-name. I finally read the small print and saw Italy. So much for popping over for a quick jam session...;)

I'll be rooting for Italy tommarrow.

-either from a giant outdoor screen someone is putting up in Delores Park, or maybe at a friend's house if he decides to BBQ. North Beach should be a bit crazy tommarrow.

The World Cup is finally catching on in the US, or at least here in SF.

    cheers. :)

Are you going to stick with the Lollars?

Very nice stuff Marinblues. I actually live in Marin, that little penninsula named after you (GRIN) I'm up in Mill Valley, right across the Golden Gate from John (fatback).

I like the Lollars too - I do some Tele 'twangin too, so I do likes me some highs (GRIN) but I think for the genre you're 'groovin in, the Lollars sound great. Tele, yes? Middle position ....

Va Italia! Buena suerte en el juego manana, eh?

wow, that's interesting. Do you still call it "soccer"?

The US team played a good game against Italy this year.
For a little while for sure. We don't have a 30-day return policy here! They're almost P90-like, a bit dark, but since I have another Tele with Bardens (bright) I can vary between the two. Stangley enough, they work best with my battered Boss OD-3 overdrive....

    Enjoy the game!:AOK

thanks Harry. I am on the laptop now (no speakers) so I'll have to wait untill tomorrow to hear your take. In the meantime I'll enjoy believing that my take was half decent. ;)

And I my Italian - my Spanish is better is better than my Italian, and my Italian girlfriend wasn't here to ask, so I risked it (GRIN)

Marin has not only become populated, the housing market seems to be thriving ... for Homeowners anyway. The median housing price in Mill Valley is running like $1.2 million US.

    Taks Care, nice playing, Dana

Ya0nice!-Ive heard ya with your Bardens-dont recall Kinmans-but
i felt my Kinman Strat pickups were a tad lifeless-not bad tho.

but these are really forgiving sounded compared to the Bardens-
au naturel!!! real nice tone 7 playing

    thanks

thanks John. The Strat Kinmans are very good and I am still using those. The tele ones are not bad at all, I just wanted some vintage mojo and more output.

    thanks
