Used to there were eucalyptus stalks that were brown in color with big broad leaves. One would put them in a vase and they made everything smell nice.

I've tried to find those. All I see is eucalyptus oil.

Are they still available? What's the correct nomenclature? Where would they be sold?

Gifts shops and the such, locally, don't know what I'm talking about.

Craft stores like Michael's or Ben Franklin. In the dried flowers area. Or maybe even a florist shop if those still exist.

I used to hear that variety of Eucalyptus called "Silver Dollar" eucalyptus. It grows around California, but it's different than the tall eucalyptus variety you see growing at the sides of freeways next to agriculture fields as a windbreak.

Nurseries still carry the trees themselves. Plant one and get a lifetime supply (GRIN). And yeah, it smells great!

    Looks like this:

    Hope this helps, Dana O.

PS I did a Google search using "silver dollar eucalyptus" and got thousands of hits.
