    He does these recordings of short stories he writes with a partner who writes accompanying music.

    I first heard these on XM Book Radio and really enjoyed them.

    If you're the sentimental type, I think you'll enjoy this one about a boy visiting his grandparents in the summer.

    He was also Juliette Lewis' father.

    His best role (at least for me) was in High Plains Drifter.

    Yeah, he was evil in that one...did you know they built that town on Mono Lake for the movie and when they were done, they had to clean up every scrap down to loose nails and sawdust and haul all of it out of there? I went looking for it in the early 80s and some ranger told me the story. "This is right place, but it's not here anymore and I'll tell you why.."

    I mostly remember him for scaring the #!$%! outta me when I was a kid and saw him in Salem's Lot! Had no idea he was Juliette Lewis' father until today!

    I had never put that together before reading it earlier today. Then you look at a photo and it's totally obvious!

    Every so often when we need to pull apart a guitar I'll say, "Scrap the Caddy, Clyde"!
