Another bit of collateral damage from the end of physical music media...Think of all the fun the kids of today are missing out on!

I'm blanking on some of the more memorable ones now though..haha..

STP second album?

Kerosene Hat. If I recall, there were at least two or three hidden tracks, and they were further hidden among 99 actual CD tracks, most of which were a few seconds long. Fun stuff.

Or... Endless grooves at the end of a record. I have one from the 90's that has an endless groove of a rainstorm at the end of the second side.

Song 66 on Danzig 4. Evil, creepy and backwards vocals....Perfect for scaring away door-to-door salesmen and Jehovah's witnesses.

I used to like 'em when they were hidden at the end of tapes. You'd never know if there was one there unless you let it play out.

The CD thing seemed like an awkward extension of that idea, as the last track would keep running, so you'd know there was a hidden track coming.

Didn't Tool have a few (or one?). I'm scratching my head as well. I remember a few '90's CD's where there would be about 13 minutes of silence followed by the "hidden" track.

My favorite was the Cheech and (absent from recording) Chong song on the Korn "Follow the Leader" album.

Track 99 on Undertow. "Today is harvest day, and for them, it is the HOLOCAUST" or something like that.

NIN's Broken had two hidden tracks too. I believe they were "Suck" by Pigface and "Physical" by Adam Ant.

I remember both Superman by REM and Verse Chorus Verse by Nirvana were hidden tracks on a couple of CDs.

Huh...see I never knew this existed on cassettes!

I remember there was a live hidden track on the Bosstones EP single for "Someday I Suppose"..

I have mixed feelings about it. I absolutely hated having to go through the silence when it was not embedded at the beginning of a subsequent track. Skankin' Pickle's Green Album was like that, but worth the "effort."

Bosstones - yep I remember that one. Cracker too.

I think my favorite is the hidden "minus" track on They Might Be Giants' Factory Showroom. You have to start the CD, then rewind into the negative space before track 1 to hear it. Pretty clever.

The first thing I thought of was Mother '93, 6:66 after the last track on Thrall:Demonsweatlive.

Bought the first Lauryn Hill as requested by my, then young, daughter. Put it in the car's CD player after picking her up from school. The "extra" track was "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You". My daughter was AMAZED to hear her old Dad singing along, knowing all of the words, to a song on the BRAND NEW Lauryn Hill album!

I laughed.

Wasn't Train In Vain a hidden track on London Calling?
First one I thought of. Second one I thought of was "Buttons"
at the end of Sia's album before this last one. So I don't know that there aren't going to be any more going forward.
