I just listened to the tune driver's seat by sniff'n the tears, which is possibly the worst band name ever, but it's still a great tune. I was just wondering if anyone out there knows what type of guitar/amp was used on the main riff and lead. Pretty awesome tone! There's only one real live version I found, where the band isn't lip syncing, and the guitar player is using a strat and doesn't really sound remotely close to the studio version. Anyway here's the super cheesy 'music video'. Thanks!

No input, but I wouldn't be surprised to see someone from the band responding, as happens from time to time.

Yeah, our local classic rock station thinks its the "stairway" that never was. I bet they play it 3 times a day.

What a coincidence! I was just playing that on my guitar a little while ago when I should've been working on learning other songs for a band I'm joining. I was thinking "hmmm. I wonder if that would be a good cover song? Does anyone remember it"?

    No Idea....
But count me in as another who liked that guitar work......
My guess is a solid body P90 guitar, probably an SG ? Amp wise, who knows, by the time is went through all the mix and production it could have all come out way different to the raw sound anyway !
    Good riff etc...even today !.

A Redo - A Re-release, Please, yes another great track that could make a return to add to fill the gap of today's lack of credible music.

I remember seeing a video where the guy was using a BC Rich.
It wasn't the guy in the video in the OP. He was just doing rhythm.
    They had a second guitarist.

I'll see if I can find it.

    BTW, LOVE the song.
