How do you remove a speaker bell?

I have one on an 8" Weber in a BF Vibro Champ I just picked up. I have a coke bottle 6V6 that I want to taste test, and it won't fit with the bell installed.

I would have thought it just pulled off, but it doesn't seem to want to come, and I don't want to screw it up.

    Thanks,

    Scott

There should be a screw underneith the weber sticker in the
center of the bell (magnet cover).

Carefully peel back the sticker or pierce it where
the screw resides and loosen the screw until you can remove
    the cover.

If it is not one super tight, you may be able to rotate the bell
and screw together with out removing the sticker or piercing it.

    Good luck.

hmm, on the three webers I have the cover wasn't screwed on but rather held on by pressure with a few little prongs... I pried mine off with a flat-head screwdriver to fit it in a pro jr.

I guess the 8" models are different? Who knows.

Yeah, mine did have a screw in the center.

I just kind of applied pressure to it with my thumb to keep it from moving while I unscrewed the bell.

No real damage to the sticker, although it does have a screw head imprint...
