    I'm curious to see what people will replace their fancy stuff with. Specially high end boutique or high tech, and of course all the dirt flavors.
    List your current board and replacements, anything BOSS goes.

    My travel board:
    Polytune
    Fuzz face
    Vox Wah
    MXR Shin-Juku
    EHX Small Stone
    TC Nova Repeater
    MXR Carbon Copy
    Digitech Polara
    Boss DD-5 (For hold function)

    Boss
    TU-3 Tuner
    FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz
    PW-3 Wah
    BD-2w Blues Driver
    PH-3 Phase Shifter
    RE-20 Space Echo
    DM-2w Analog Delay
    RV-6 Reverb
    DD-5 Delay

    If this thread is a thing, I'll expect MXR, EQD, EHX, etc. Versions

    Current board is

    SP Comp
    Prince of Tone
    Timmy
    CE-2W
    DM-2W
    Stereo Wet

    so I'd be changing it to

    CS-3 /CS-2
    SD-1W
    BD-2W
    CE-2W
    DM-2W
    RV-6

    Not really too much cheaper, and significant downgrades in Reverb and Compression. Both overdrives are actually more expensive in the Boss rendition if we're considering mode switching. Could use the standard versions but those wouldn't have anywhere the level of sound variety.

    Sputnik -----> ?????
    PolyTune ----> TU-3w
    Pitch Fork ----> PS-5, I guess.
    Mission Exp Dual input ----> EV-5 won't really do it here
    W&C Gold Comp ----> GE-7 (screw it, I'd rather have an eq than Boss's crap compressor)
    Kalamazoo ----> SD-1w
    WFRRI ---------> DS-1 (I mean, I guess. If I have to.)
    Heptode Virtuoso ----> PH-1r
    Lovepedal Tremelo ----> PN-2
    CE-2w ----> CE-2w
    EP Pre ----> ????
    DD-500 ----> DD-500
    Immerse ----> RV-6

    I don't think I could do it. The DS-1 is a weak replacement for a WF Rat. Boss's comp game is terrible. And they don't make a fuzz that can even be construed as good, much less replace a Sputnik.

    Sorry Boss, you already have two spots on my board. You can't have the whole thing.

    I use an H9 so I may or may not need to replace with @severinsteel's collection.

    That was my concern with od flavors, also reverb isn't stellar.

    This is the kind of board I wanted to see, I guess boss isn't going to play with germanium fuzz or comp, and the ep pre can be "replaced" by the FB-2 I guess. Boss modulation and delay game is good IMHO. Reverb isn't my favorite but a couple of modes are really good set-and-forget washes.
    DS-1w maybe? Black DS-1 special edition? If I recall the WFRRI is the modern grail of rats, so idk if the DS-1w its the same for DS-1 reissues, or the MIJ are better.

    Still got to find a place for a TU pedal, didn't notice the polytune at first sight. :crazy

    Thats a good board, I just don't agree with boss metallic flanger tones.

    I'll put a TU-3 on the floor and remove the PolyTune then. The TU-3 just isn't as good as the Poly. :D

    The HF-2 does a really nice subtle flanger tone and an ok "rotary speaker" type sound. It's not just jet woosh.

    The Waza Tuner may change your mind:aok

    Myself:
    TU-3w
    FZ-3
    CE-2
    BD-2
    OD-3
    CE-2w
    GE-7
    DM-2w
    DD-2/3/7(Any would do)
    RV-6
    TR-2

    Pretty much the same board MBT74 has

    I would eventually try the PH-1r and HF-2 when given the opportunity.

    Only three pedals would change on mine right now...

    Polytune 2 ---> TU-3w
    MXR Echoplex Delay ---> DM-2w
    RAT ---> FZ-3
    SD-1
    GE-7
    CS-2
    CH-1
    VB-2w

    I wouldn't really say the EP-Pre could be replaced by an FB-2. The FB-2 is a booster/feedbacker. The EP-Pre isn't really a boost at all; it's an accurate reproduction of an EP-3 preamp that EQs your sound in a really great way. I don't think Boss makes anything close to it.

    Dunlop is making good fuzzes and EHX is making aight fuzzes. Not much from Boss. I'd love to see them up their fuzz game but I don't think it'll happen.

    I would go from:

    Boss SY300
    ENO BMF Fuzz
    Red Witch Grace compressor
    Boss TU2
    Joyo American Sound
    Red Witch Violet delay
    Strymon El Capistan
    Strymon Flint
    Boss RC30

    to:

    Boss SY300
    Boss RC30

    All the things I "need" can be done with the SY300. I prefer the sound of the strymon delay and reverb algorithms, and I like the character of the two red witch pedals, but I wouldn't see the need to replace them with an additional boss alternative. The SY300 covers comp, delay, reverb, trem and a multitude of other things, as well as having fun synthy things.

    Not possible on mine hehe specially for the Mobius way too much stuff in there that doesn't exist in boss land. but either way this is like the minimun to play along:

    Boss Ls-2 --> Boss Ls-2
    polytune mini --> Boss Mini Tuner TU-3S
    Mobius --> Ph1, Ce-2w, Slicer, Fv500H, pw-3 wah, and a couple of empty spaces ? ? ? ?
    Octasynth -> oc2 + fz3
    KOT -> BD2-w + OD3
    Alpha Dog -> fz3 xD
    Rc Booster scott Henderson ->SD-1w + GE7
    Boss Ps-3 -> Boss Ps-3
    Boss Ps-5 -> Boss Ps-5
    El Capistan -> Re-20
    Tonal recall -> Dm-2w
    Pigtronix dual expression pedal -> Fv500H, FV500H

    12 pedals vs 20 with only boss and i loose sooo much :c

    Not really possible, but here's the closest I could come:

    Current Board: > Boss Board:
    Source Audio Kingmaker > DS-1+FZ-5+FB-2
    Source Audio LA Lady > SD-1+BD-2W+OD-1X+BC-2
    Source Audio Mercury > CE-2+BF-3+CE-5+VB-2
    Boss DD-500 > Boss DD-500
    Source Audio Nemesis > Boss DD-500
    Source Audio Dimension > RV-6
    Source Audio Neuro Hub + Soleman Midi board > ES-5

    Man, that would be a MUCH bigger board, and it still wouldn't do everything my current board (Which fits on a PT Metro 24 board and is powered off a Lithium Ion battery pack) can. :)

    Edit: Oh, and there literally is NO replacement for my Shure GLXD wireless rig+tuner. ;)

    I don't have a set "board", but here's a few of my most used pedals:

    Boss DD-500 -> Boss DD-500
    ProCo RAT2 -> Boss DS-2
    Amptweaker TightDrive Pro -> 2x Boss LS-2, ST-2, SD-1w
    Dunlop Cry Baby Mini -> Boss PW-3
    Ibanez FL-9 -> Boss BF-3

    I'm actually thinking of building a Boss only board, but, here's what I'd do to mimic my current setup.

    TC PolyTune --> TU-3w
    Diamond Comp --> CS-3
    Full Drive 2 --> SD-1
    Gain Changer --> OD-3
    Timmy --> Keeley BD-2
    TC Nova Mod --> CE-2w, TR-2
    EB VP --> FV-500H
    TimeLine --> DD-500, DM-2w
    BigSky --> RV-6

    Some existing pedals get multiple Boss units. For example, the Nova Mod covers my vibrato and tremolo sounds, so, I'd need the CE-2w and TR-2. The TimeLine covers all delays, and the DD-500 would be more than enough...I just really want a DM-2w. And I keep 3 presets handy on my BigSky at all times, but I could live with an RV-6 for outer space if my amp has spring reverb.

    I have little experience with the CS-3, and I highly doubt it can touch the Diamond...I bet I could still coax a good sound out of one.

    Easy:

    Mastotron - FZ2
    Double Barrel - SD1 and BD2
    Diamond Trem - TR2
    Boss FV30H - hmmmmm...not sure
    Turbo Tuner - TU3
    Timeline - DD500
    Space - RV5 and RV6

    Side note: I often wonder how many times a pedal company creates a new pedal that they love, lets just say a reverb pedal, then compare it to the Boss equivalent and realize they're only half way there.

    Seems fun but difficult

    Current:
    Fat Fuzz Factory > ST300 mini > Ego Comp > Mission VMPro > Timmy > Quinn Hot Buttered Scotch > ss/bs Mini > Cusack More Louder > POG2 > ss/bs TAFM > Sea Machine > BuGGFX Daydream > CT5 w/ exp > Timeline > Tap-a-Whirl > Cathedral

    Replacement:
    FZ-3 > AW-3 > TU > LS-2 w/ CS-3 (I think this will make it parallel) > FV500 > OD-1 > SD-1W > DS-2 > FB-2 > LS-2 w/ SG-1 into PS-3 (again with the parallel) > LS-2 w/ FZ-3 (I like parallel stuff, ok?) > PS-3 (ADT) > CE-2w > 3x LS-2 w/ GE-7 (used as 3 different band filters) into DD-7 (all 3 set for different times) [this insanity is on one loop of the switcher] > PS-3 (mode 7) > DD-7 (reverse) > DD-7 > DM-2w > TR2 w/ tap (GT8 has tap tempo trem, so I'm sure there's a way) > RC-30 > RV6

    Pretty sure this monster would replicate nearly all of what I use on a fairly regular basis. I'm going to need a giant switcher for everything as well. Think my brain might have broken a little towards the end. Glad we've got boutique guys putting some of this craziness into single box units. 6 line switchers, 3 PS-3s, 5 DD-7s... yeah... I'm glad my board isn't all BOSS. And I thought my dirt section would be the hard part haha
