If you roll around the cab a lot, you might want to consider metal sockets. They're pricey, but apparently worth it in the long run.

Otherwise, for light use, the plastic sockets hold the caster well. That's what I chose for my B cab resto, and my '78 A cab has its original casters and plastic sockets still in tact, and still fully functional.

vendor on eBay has sets of metal casters he's been selling for some time. He's come down on his price, too.
