sooner or later,Once the nos 7581a's are gone we'll need new production tubes to replace them.Justin Holton in the following link recommends TAD 6L6GC STR :
What do you think about these ones?are they Sovtek,JJ,..etc.,.?

other options are welcome if you're compared same kind of power tubes, similar bolt sounding,..

They are made in China by Shuguang. We sell them, but are disappointed with Mojo's 30 day warranty. They generally are reliable and have great factory matching, but we have had customers that have had problems after 30 days.

I think his opinions can be taken with a grain of salt. He tested these tubes in a Hot Rod Deluxe? Not exactly an amp regarded for it's tone or transparentcy and the ones I've played/heard were very bass heavy. I swapped a few sets of power tubes for a friends HRD and the amp just didn't like NOS stuff. Second he biased the tubes by ear? That's not a way to compare different sets. If he tested them all of them at 60% mpd at least the settings would be somewhat equal. JMHO

There are still vendors around that carry them. If it were me and I owned an amp/amps that used them, I would stock up a few sets. Since good nos sets last pretty damn long, A few sets would be good for decades.

When I need something special or specific, I just write these guys, they generally come through fast and easy. I am sure there are others as well.
