Replacement Speaker Ohms for Harmony Model H-195

    Hi,

    I am a longtime lurker, but don't post here much.
    I have a question about an late 1940s Harmony Model H-195 I recently purchased. I believe it originally had a field coil rola speaker in it. It currently has an 8" 8 ohm 5 watt Tesla ARO-666 loud speaker.
    I would like to replace this speaker with a Alnico magnet Jensen or Weber.
    I am not sure what ohms the speaker I should be replacing it with. I am unable to find a readable schematic for this model. The Harmony Model H-200 schematic I found, which is a similar model, shows a 6 ohm load for the speaker.

    Does anyone have any idea what I should be using here?

    Looks like an 8 ohm speaker to me. I think an old Jensen would work well. Good luck.

    Thanks for the reply. I think it will sound much better with a speaker that can handle the output.

    I think I will try and find a alnico Weber or a Jensen for it. I think a Weber Signature is an affordable choice?
