    Hi,

I am a longtime lurker, but don't post here much.
I have a question about an late 1940s Harmony Model H-195 I recently purchased. I believe it originally had a field coil rola speaker in it. It currently has an 8" 8 ohm 5 watt Tesla ARO-666 loud speaker.
I would like to replace this speaker with a Alnico magnet Jensen or Weber.
I am not sure what ohms the speaker I should be replacing it with. I am unable to find a readable schematic for this model. The Harmony Model H-200 schematic I found, which is a similar model, shows a 6 ohm load for the speaker.

Does anyone have any idea what I should be using here?

    Thanks!

I found this schematic online for the H-195, but it is unclear:

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Up front!
Looks like an 8 ohm speaker to me. I think an old Jensen would work well. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I think it will sound much better with a speaker that can handle the output.
This is how it currently sounds:

I think I will try and find a alnico Weber or a Jensen for it. I think a Weber Signature is an affordable choice?

    Cheers!
