Have you looked into AudioThing's Outer Space plugin?
I had not. But I went to their website and discovered something there that fits the bill pretty well that isn’t Outer Space: Reels.
Waves J37 works great as a tape delay
I just picked up Reels the other day and I’m totally digging it
I'm pretty happy to hear that Logic's plugin is well-regarded. It's so easy to just assume the stuff in your DAW "needs" replacing There are a few things in there that I *have* replaced (piano, electric piano, added a 'verb before chromaverb came out).
Additional mention of the Valhalla plugin that (unless things have gone pretty wrong) is imminent. I'm guessing it is going to have some pretty wild settings and of course will be 50 bucks almost certainly. (no don't work for Valhalla lol!)
Haven’t used it because Echoboy fills my needs (and I really want a nice rack delay), but I’ve been intrigued by this plugin for a while:
Agreed. One of my favorite things in Logic is the compressors. I think Logic got those right!!
I like Echoboy, but use this for specific Echoplex sounds: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/trtapeecho/
Yep...Echo boy. all over all my recordings and the go to of most pro's
fyi, on reverb.com there is a deal for all Soundtoys plugins (which includes echoboy) AND all Arturia V Collection 6...for cheaper than the price for either of them by themselves. So for those that need fx plugins and synths.... If I wasn't saving for Komplete I would be on this.
The free Kjaerhus VST package has a really good delay with an "old tape" setting. Maybe you can set up a channel with Kjaerhus delay into something like the izotope vinyl. I'm not sure how to do this myself, but it's worth exploring.
Can you post a link please? I'm in need of some plugins.
Echoes by Nomad Factory sounds great. Great intuitive interface, very light on the cpu.
