    Hi All,

I'm in search of a reverb pedal that sounds natural and springy all the way to super ambient. It must have a swell feature. Ideally its in a small (single switch) enclosure, but I can find space for something larger if necessary.

    What are my options?

    Thanks,

    Axe

H9 maybe? Unaware of a smaller sized pedal that has it.

Love the Swell mode in the BigSky.

The RV-3 in reverb modes with the ALL the knobs all the way up is amazing!

big sky and space/H9 are all that I can think of honestly, might be easier to find a delay to do this for you, line6 echo park comes to mind if you go that route, otherwise a volume pedal, or dedicated slowgear/volume swell pedal.

This might sound stupid but the Digitech RP360 can do it.

What is it they say about stupid questions?...

What is "swell" in this context?

Are we talking about fading in the mix/blend? Or is it a volume thing?

    Thanks

    My guess is the latter.

Swell was a feature on organs. It's a little bit different than just a volume knob. On pipe organs for example the swell controls a series of shutters in the swell box since volume is a bit difficult to control in an air instrument with hundreds of pipes. You'll notice a bit of a timbre change along with volume.

When it's on 80s reverb full wet it swells. Not adjustable but I used it as an autoswell plenty of times, usually with tremolo.

FWIW, I haven't been able to get the H9 to do a convincing swell yet...

bigsky will easily do this but another option would be something like an m9. using the auto swell and then some reverb
