I have since made the jump from my Twin Reverb and went to a Mesa Stiletto Trident and recto 2-12 cab. I do miss my reverb and I did not realize how much. I played my first gig with the Stiletto and while it didn't sound bad, I just wasn't used to the extremely dry sound. I have been looking at several reverbs and wondered what you guys take on these were. Here are the 4 that I have been looking at:

    -Earthquaker Devices Ghost Echo Reverb
    -Subdecay Spring Theory Reverb
-Dr Scientist Miniberator Reverberator Reverb Pedal
    -Wet Reverb Pedal v3

So tell me what you guys thing. I like to have some ambiance in my slow passages and songs. So give me some suggestions?? Thanks!!

I LOVE the wet reverb. It sounds so awesome. I love it when it is cranked! I sometimes just play a single chord out with it cranked and let it just fill the room....truly sounds awesome!

found the earthquaker to be noisey and unreliable. didnt like being chained with other pedals.
dr scientist was great. very versatile.
also had the malekko chicklet. did it sound like a fender reverb unit? no but in full band rehearsals- no one really noticed or cared.
ended up selling them for a byoc reverb. great pedal and affordable when preassembled..
you can also use 9v or 18v for more headroom.

i took a gamble on the wet after hearing demos and all the praise on here. gotta say, it somehow lived up to the hype. it sounds amazing. TGP doesnt always get it right, but they did on this one!

i can safely say im completely satisfied.
havent tried the others, but for my purposes, the wet is all its cracked up to be.

I didn't try much of what's out there, just heard some great Stereo WET demos and ran with the crowd. It is capable of variety of sounds from extremely subtle to extremely washy and ambient. It has a certain tone color, so I could see some folks either loving it or not. It isn't spring like, nor is it "natural." The tone control is very useful.

I did some demos myself: one clean chords, one distorted lead tones—both ambient.

    They're in this thread:

Have a Wet (v2?) and a HoFame. Though the Hall of Fame does have the versatility thing going for it, and sounds very good on most settings, the WET just gets it done- with, like, NO tweaking (read: every setting sounds good; awesome even).

Need i say: get the Wet!

I find very few pedals that I am totally satisfied with....the Wet is one of them. There's not really anything I wish were different on that one.

Cathedral is great. Not a "TGP" pedal. I like it though. The spring sounds great, and the room is great for ambient.

I was gonna buy a HOF for my acoustic board just before I consolidated everything down to one board.

I use a Mr. Springgy, which is another Belton brick-based design. Sounds excellent, esp. at 12V

My Valvetrain is a single-channel without 'verb - I just picked up a a Wampler Faux Spring off a fellow member here...it's one of the old silver ones. I tried it briefly this morning and was very pleased with it.
