1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

Very popular for their early breakup and to help reduce brightness.

Tung Sol "Reissue" 12AX7s are cleaner and brighter than the RFTs, but in no way bright sounding in general.

Thanks. I have tried Tungsram in the JCM800. they sounded agressive to me.. the Tungs seem to be a good choice.

    Cheers

My JCM800 has three rfts and two siemens, all from mike.

RFTs are my favorite marshall tube, warm, crunchy. Matched with the siemens and my G12H30s, my marshall is sounding great.

Not sure of the translation, but they're an East German tube made in the RFT factory, sometimes branded Siemens & Telefunken.

A local tube guy turned me on to them & I love them. Warm, crunchy...almost Mullard like for less :AOK

I am pretty sure that RFT means either Radio Funk Technik, Radio und Fernmelde-Technik, or Rundfunk Fernmelde-Technik – the name of an electronics factory in East Germany.
