Caught the Bon Jovi / Sugarland concert on CMT Crossroads the other night (surprisingly enjoyable!). Any idea what that guitar Richie used was? Sorta Stratty, three-on-a-side tuners, maybe a fancy maple top, and what looked like an old Gretsch stairstep tailpiece!? Nicely built and kinda cool.

I caught that last night as well, and I thought Richie's tone was quite rich and tasty! It looked like one of the heads was a /13. And that Sugarland babe....wow, she is fantabulous!

I thought the same thing but couldn't get a better look. With his strong ties to Fender it may be a custom Showmaster type strat with a Gretsch tailpiece.

I was more interested in the doubleneck Nocaster that he was playing. It looked like it could possibly be a custom Nocaster/Sub Sonic. Anyone else know the details?

The upper neck has a piezo bridge pickup, or at least it sounds like it has one.

I only caught a glimpse of that guitar but it reminded me of a Fender/ Hartfield.

At times he was playing a Floyd Rose guitar. I first saw one of them when my band did an opening set for a band Roger Fisher ( of Heart fame) was playing with. Roger had one of those and it was a mystery to me a first glance as well. Interesting axe.

I don't know which model Sambora was playing, but I grabbed this off the Floyd Rose site as an example.

Last week I saw him on the Today Show playing a mystery guitar and the two necked NoCaster. The mystery axe looks like a retro looking single humbucker with a headstock that could have been a Carvin, Ibanez or ??? style.

Then this morning he was on ABC morning show playing the Floyd Rose guitar.

I remember reading in a guitar world interview that he no longer was with fender, moving into another direction, at the time I think he was using a Korina V or something.

Yup, she's awesome. INcredible singer - her voice is deeper than Bon Jovi's. He was hitting on her non-stop during the show - it was pretty funny....

That's Jennifer Nettles. She used to perform at Eddies Attic here in Atlanta. As for Sambora and endorsements, I think he played an Anderson Cobra S on the last Bon Jovi tour.

I didn't see that show, but if you are referring to a brown
looking guitar with a neck that looks like it has a lighter
color streak of wood going through it an black pickups

There was a Bon Jovi special that interveriewed the stage
hands, and Richies guitar tech said he made that guitar
    for Richie

He was also playing a really interesting white guitar
if you caught the movie theatre concert they did last
week to kick off the new album

He was playin Tom Andersons last tour, from Anderson web site

Richie Sambora is live and on tour with Bon Jovi and Tom Anderson Guitars!

Apparently he picked up his new Tiger Eye Burst, Cobra S and a Desert Sunset, Hollow Drop Top Classic

Personally, I want the Relic Strat he had on the Crush Tour

A Frankenstrat? Well, that would explain the tailpiece...

I caught that show as well on CMT. I was wondering what the one amp he was playing through was. Two heads looked like Diezel Herberts, but the other was hard to tell. I heard he was using TrainWreck amps recently.

    Anyone know?
