That one hurt this morning. Not COVID-related; rather heart complications.

"Ain't No Sunshine" is easily the greatest song ever written without an intro.

This one hits home. Not that I ever met him, but his music has been apart of all our soundtracks!! Learning and playing Use Me Up in an old band has been a personal highlight in my musical history!!! Let alone just looking his output!! RIP Mr. Withers

    RIP
I never realized how many incredible songs he had written until u saw Snarky Puppy last year. Their opening act was a Bill Withers tribute project and I friggin knew every word to just about every song without knowing they were BW tunes.

I'm listening to "Lean on Me" and tearing up. There is just no way to measure the significance of those lyrics right now. RIP Bill Withers, thank you for the treasures you gifted us all with.

Oh my gosh. Bill Withers was the Man, to me. As a kid I thought Lean on Me was the best song for the Sesame Street generation, ever.

And Use Me - oh man, he could’ve just written Use Me and he would’ve been golden in my eyes. What a riff, what a groove, what a lyric and what a perfect delivery.

And then Grandma’s Hands, Lovely Day?!?!

You were a key part of the soundtrack of my life, Mr. Withers - thank you so much.

Man, I would butcher his songs up during karaoke about 25 years ago. He always had a song in my various playlists over the years. RIP.

His first album with hits like "Ain't No Sunshine" and "Grandma's Hands" featured none other than Stephen Stills on lead guitar. Withers made a considerable impact with his songs.

One of my all time favorites to perform was my good friend's arrangement of "Use Me."

What a disappointing turn of events. 2020's streak of destroying everything anyone has ever loved continues...
