Spec'ing out a Suhr Classic JM. Will have two S90s, Gotoh 510, black limba body and oil finished one piece neck and fingerboard- either roasted maple or pau ferro. Which would work better here? Thanks.

Not sure about what Pau does to the tone on a full neck.
Personally Id do limba neck and rosewood board.

I have a hard time believing that you'd ever hear a difference between two fretboards. Too many variables and individuality between pieces of wood. I'd choose what you like the look of better.

It will be a one piece neck and fingerboard.

Limba requires a sealed finish. I'm addicted to the feel of oil finishes.

True enough, from a tonal standpoint, I know Limba/Limba and RW board works very very well with P90s.

I've heard Rosewood necks with limba and P90s They were cool enough if you dig the tone.
I'd probably go maple with your set of requirements.
