Can anyone tell me what Robben used on the song "You cut me to the bone" from Robben Ford & the Blue Line record? Particularly the wah.

If I recall correctly,he used a Morely wah for the rhythm parts and a Cry Baby for the leads.

I can tell you this, he walked on stage at the iridium last year with his Epiphone, no pedals plugged into a 4x10 fender reverb and used his volume pot for any gain. He sounded just like he always does and he killed it. Search for the YouTube videos I have some under - paulvcarter

Don't know about the recording.
I did see Robben on that tour. He had a Dunlop wah I think a Q, black Dumble top, Marshall 412 cab and a Twin Reverb. Had a small rack that had a TC 2290.
The second time I saw him, the Mystic Mile tour, he had two red knob twins and an od pedal that I don't remember.

This is basically the set up I saw him with on The Blue Line tour.

Dumble Overdrive Special - TC-2290 - Fender Custom Shop Robben Ford Model Guitar...

I assume so, cause I asked him about "Life Song" from the same album.. and that was the gear he said he used.

Dunlop 535Q I think its called.
I "think" it's been modded in some way...
Those were the days. Remember that tour. Great gig. Roscoes birthday and all. Loud as h€ll but extremely dynamic. They went from jet take off to whisper in a heartbeat...

I saw him last saturday and highly recommend you to go and see 'em 'cause the whole band is really impressive. All I got was :
Dumble ODS
Zendrive

That's it and it works just fine !

I would love to, I'll have to check the touring schedule. Never saw him live.

Well, if you haven't checked this video yet, it sounds a bit like this :bow

With the exception that Wes Little was on drums instead of Tony Moore.

Enjoy !
