He seems to get really excited talking about people he admires. It's cool to see him so chipper.

...thats a guitar player....the first time i heard and saw Robben he was touring Joni Mitchells "Court and Spark" release with Tom Scott and the L.LA Express..... i didn't know him from adam but couldn't take my ears off of him all night...in this seemingly candid clip you can see and hear that this guys lives and breaths guitar...

Not much to say.

He's the man...and proves it nicely here.

sounds like an ordinary telecaster being riffed on by an extraordinary musician who's "got it" in the fingers.

that's the point the manufacturers would like us all to miss great player + guitar = great tone, average player + great gear = average tone sad but true :jo

i didn't wanna jump on the RF bandwagon like so many, but he's just such a master, it's impossible to be a guitar fan and not like him. he's brilliant.

I don't understand how those guys could talk incessantly throughout that. I admire the videographer's self-control. Me, I might've told them to shut up or go outside.

Always nice to see how different guys approach the guitar when in "exploration mode"....

Robben is a very hip player even though it is so un-hip to feel that way nowadays. I don't own any of his records because the music is a little too vanilla for my tastes, but I really enjoy hearing him play whenever I do.

The high end is where our ears are quite different.

He's got high end going that I find unpleasant but he may have fried those frequencies from decades of live gigs.
